Jesup - Wayne Memorial Hospital proudly announces the addition of a seasoned orthopedic surgeon to their growing roster of physicians. Dr. Greg White will be opening his practice, S.M.A.R.T. – Sports Medicine and Rehab Therapy, in mid-April of this year in Wayne County.  With over nineteen years of medical experience, Dr. White and his wife, Robin, will be coming to Jesup from Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, which is located on the outskirts of Nashville.

Dr. White received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.  He completed his internship and residency at University of New York at Stony Brook. He is Board Certified in Orthopedics and is a member of American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. White will be handling all types of orthopedic problems and issues, such as joint replacements, sports medicine and athletic injuries, carpel tunnel issues as well as worker’s compensation related problems. Dr. White will be performing all of his surgeries and procedures exclusively at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Serving with the United States Army Reserves for 11 years, Dr. White is eager to move closer to the Southeastern shoreline. “We are looking forward to the move to Jesup. Being a native Floridian, it will be nice to be closer to family,” said Dr. White. “We found the Wayne County Community and Wayne Memorial Hospital to be very friendly and welcoming.  We are excited to be coming here.”

Dr. White and Robin are the parents of three grown daughters.  In his spare time, Dr. White enjoys playing golf, piloting airplanes and watching football.
